Our Program
It was incredibly important to us to raise our dogs using the best possible puppy curriculum and that is why we chose a combination of programs such as Puppy Culture, Avidog, Breeders Bootcamp and a few others. Beyond the programs being some of the most up to date for ethical and responsible dog breeding, they incorporate scientific based studies that better the lives of the dogs we raise. We also utilize several different online dog training programs. We also temperament test every single puppy born with us so we can help families decide on the best match for them.
About Our Program
Health is #1
All our dogs go through health and genetic testing, please view our "Health Testing" tab above for more information.
Diet
Our Goldens are raised on high quality kibble and our Pomeranians are raised on Big Country balanced raw. We also supply our dogs with gently cooked meals on occasions. We include supplements such as fish oils, probiotics, joint support and raw bones for dental support to all our dogs. We also strongly believe in holistic medicine and often try to use it as an alternative to traditional vet medicine when appropriate. Diet is such an important part of a dog's life and we are constantly brushing up on our canine nutrition knowledge.
Temperament Testing & More
We strongly believe in EMPOWERING our foundation dogs and the puppies we raise! We begin Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction at 3 days of age. We also begin in early handling exposure, noise exposure, and developmental exposure. We want our puppies to be set up for success in the great big world!
Temperament Testing:
We tend to do things a little differently than other breeders and our temperament testing is no different. We temperament test each of our puppies at 7 weeks of age using the Volhard's Puppy Aptitude Test (PAT) and that assists us in placing each puppy. While we don't choose your puppy for you, we do try to steer our families in the right direction. If we truly feel a puppy is not the right fit, we will not send that puppy home with that family. Of course, we do our best to make everyone happy so our puppies are set up for success in their new homes.
